Do I need a French drain or grading?
It depends on the source of the water. Grading manages surface flow; a French drain collects subsurface water. Many properties need a combination of grading, solid downspout pipe, catch basins or drain tile.
Can you bury my downspouts?
Yes, when the property has a suitable route and lawful discharge point. Roof water is normally carried in solid pipe so it does not intentionally soak into the trench beside the house.
Will drainage work stop basement water?
Yard drainage can reduce surface water near a foundation, but it cannot guarantee a dry basement. Foundation cracks, footing drains, waterproofing and sump systems may require a specialist.
Where does collected water go?
To a practical, lawful discharge point selected for the site, such as daylight, a pop-up emitter or another approved outlet. We do not intentionally redirect water onto a neighboring property.
Will my lawn be damaged?
Trenching and grading disturb the work corridor. The proposal defines included restoration, but seed and soil need time and proper watering to establish.
How long does drainage installation take?
Small downspout or basin projects may take about a day; larger grading and drain systems can take several days. Access, soil, weather and scope control the actual schedule.
Do you locate utilities?
Public utilities should be marked before digging. The property owner must identify private lines that locating services do not mark, including invisible fences, lighting and irrigation.
Can you quote drainage from photos?
